چکیده
Abstract Background Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) remains the most frequent liver cancer, accounting for approximately 90% of primary cancers worldwide. The recurrence-free survival (RFS) HCC patients is a critical factor in devising personal treatment plan. Thus, it necessary to accurately forecast prognosis clinical practice. Methods Using Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) dataset, we identified genes associated with RFS. A robust likelihood-based modeling approach was used select best prognostic model. Then, GSE76427 dataset evaluate model’s effectiveness. Results We 1331 differentially expressed Seven these were selected generate validation both TCGA cohort and GEO demonstrated that 7-gene model can predict RFS patients. Meanwhile, results multivariate Cox regression analysis showed risk score could function as an independent factor. In addition, according time-dependent ROC curve, performed better predicting training set external than classical TNM staging BCLC. Furthermore, seven found be related occurrence development cancer by exploring three other databases. Conclusion Our study seven-gene signature prediction novel convenient tool. These might potential target metabolic therapy HCC.

Predicting Hepatocellular Carcinoma Recurrence and Survival.
BACKGROUND/AIMS Beta blockers can inhibit tumor growth and metastases, while necroinflammation can enhance these tumor properties. The aim of this study was to determine whether beta blockers and necroinflammatory disease predict tumor recurrence and/or overall survival following potentially curative therapeutic interventions for patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). METHODOLOGY The m...

Aim. To establish a new score model to predict risk of death in patients with hepatocellular carcinoma and type 2 diabetes mellitus. Methods. This was a retrospective study of 147 patients with hepatocellular carcinoma and type 2 diabetes mellitus who came to Beijing Ditan Hospital between October 2008 and June 2013. Univariate and multivariate logistic regression analysis was performed to obta...

متن کاملFactors predicting survival after post-transplant hepatocellular carcinoma recurrence
BACKGROUND Although factors associated with an increased risk of recurrence after liver transplantation for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) have been extensively studied, the history of patients with a post-transplant recurrence is poorly known. METHODS Patients experiencing a post-transplant HCC recurrence from 1996 to 2011 in two transplant programs were included. Demographic, transplant, an...
متن کاملP2X3 purinergic receptor overexpression is associated with poor recurrence-free survival in hepatocellular carcinoma patients
UNLABELLED P2 purinergic receptors are overexpressed in certain cancer tissues, but the pathophysiologic relevance of purinergic signaling in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) remains unknown. To examine the role of P2 purinergic signaling in the pathogenesis of HCC and characterize extracellular nucleotide effects on HCC cell proliferation, two independent HCC patient cohorts were analyzed for P2...
